For artists, Barnoon Workshop is a small dedicated art space in the heart of St Ives surrounded by beautiful scenery, overlooking Porthmeor Beach. From here they run a range of art and craft events all year, taught in a relaxed and informal style by creative professionals.

The St Ives School of Painting is a welcoming art school and wonderful for artists of all ages and levels of experience. Housed in Porthmeor Studios, a recently-renovated building which literally touches the sand on Porthmeor Beach, the School was established in 1938. Classes are small, and taught by professional artists.

There’s also Screen Printing Workshops – Pick Pretty Paints offer a variety of workshops which are available to book all year round. From lino, screen, stencils & stamps the studio is open and welcomes the absolute beginner to group bookings.

If your creativity is sparked by handmade jewellery, St Ives Jewellery Studio has a fantastic Jewellery Workshop. They make their beautiful jewellery in-house and also offer lessons, so you can handcraft something special.

If you prefer to work in clay, then The Leach Pottery, founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, is among the most respected and influential studio potteries in the world and offer a range of courses and classes for all skill levels. Or the St Ives Pottery offers small classes for quality tuition.
