TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.Deposit
A non refundable deposit equivalent to the cost of one night’s accommodation is required to secure your reservation.

2. Cancellations
Guests are reminded that a booking is a legally binding contract. In the event of a cancellation the deposit is not refundable.  We will make all reasonable efforts to re-let the accommodation, but if this fails, guests are respectfully reminded that they are liable for the costs incurred.  We strongly recommend you insure against the possibility of cancellation.

Where the guest gives credit card details in order to make payment of a deposit it is agreed between the parties that in the event of cancellation the Guesthouse may debit the guest’s credit card with the full amount of the cancellation charge less an allowance for any deposit or payment already received.

The Guesthouse reserves the right to cancel a booking forthwith.  Without liability on its part in the event of damage or destruction to the Guesthouse by fire or other causes, any shortage of labour or food supplies, or any other cause beyond the control of the Guesthouse which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with any booking.   In such an event the Guesthouse will refund the deposit made but will have no further liability to the Guest.

3. Payments
Payment can be made by debit/credit card or cash on the day of departure.  We accept Mastercard, Visa, Electron, Maestro and Solo. There is a 2% surcharge for major credit cards.

4. Family Rooms
Family rooms may be let without full occupancy.  However, should guests use the “spare” beds then there will be a charge of £15 per bed to cover linen cleaning costs.

5. Lost Keys
Lost keys are charged at £20.

6. Breakages
Please report all breakages to the Guesthouse.  If you leave the guesthouse without reporting breakages then the Guesthouse reserves the right to invoice a guest following departure.

7. Smoking
At the request of our guests we are a NO SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT.  However, we do have a small external area that may be used by smokers.

8. Special Needs
When enquiring about accommodation, please tell us of any special needs or requirements you may have so that we may advise on the suitability of the rooms we offer.   All our bedrooms are on the first floor and thus only accessible by stairs with a secure handrail.   We do not have a lift.

9. Pets
We are sorry but we cannot accept any pets.  Guide dogs are accepted by prior arrangement.

10. Arrival/Departure times
Arrival time is by prior arrangement (Please refer to Check In Arrangements).  Check out time is 10.00 am on day of departure.
